65mm hose with 1-1/8th tip

Building standpipe systems are designed and tested with a 65mm hose.

65mm hose pack with 1-1/8th solid bore tip. Tested with this hose package.

This hose package was always the standard.

Building engineers and system designers assume Fire Departments use the hose designed to work with the standpipe. NFPA 14, NFPA 13E & NFPA 1710

All building standpipe systems have debris in them regardless of age.

Smooth bore nozzles  pass standard standpipe debris .

The installation of PRDs and PRVs are standard now in standpipe system design.

This hose package is designed to work with low pressure. It will work with the Ontario Building Code minimum required pressure of 450 KPA.

Upon arrival, no signs from the outside does not indicate no fire.

This hose package works for the worst case scenario or the smallest by control the  nozzle bale. 1006 LPM or 1 LPM. You decide.

No signs from the outside could change while you're making your way to the alarm location.

This hose package works for the worst case scenario. While on route to the fires location, ( 6 minutes plus) condition will be getting worse. Brig the big guns every time.

Fire can become wind driven once you open the apartment door.

This hose package provides the best protection for wind driven fires as an initial attack line

Safety while adding extra lengths.

You are not required to shut down the standpipe while adding extra lengths.

(safety during hook up)

Hose kinks affect water volume

Larger hose kinks less. Even with kinks this hose package delivers a lot more volume.

Nozzle reaction

99 lbs nozzle reaction at 350 Kpa nozzle pressure. Nozzle reaction drops substantially when hose taken to ground.

Day to Day Alarm Investigations

Good weight distribution @ 22 lbs for 50' section of hose. Standpipe kit weighs 22 lbs as well.

Standpipe Pressure Gauge

This is a must have. Pressure is known and can be adjusted as a gate and pressure gauge are included in the hose package.

Fuel loads

Todays modern fuel loads burn hotter and faster requiring a larger volume of water. This hose package delivers the extra volume needed.

Residential and Commercial HighRise fires

This hose package works for both residential and commercial HighRise fires as well as mixed use buildings which are very common now.

Multiple Options

This hose package can be used with multiple appliances.

e.g. Floor below nozzle,  distributor nozzle, monitor.

Solid bore nozzle vs. fog nozzle

Lower pressure, high volume smooth bore nozzles pass normal standpipe debris

FEMA's Special Report: Operational Considerations For HighRise Firefighting

This report on HighRise Firefighting provides the evidence and backing for the 65mm hose package.

Knock down

Faster knock down.

65mm hose with 1-1/8th tip

Standpipe Hose lay options

Low friction loss and high volume make it appropriate for long standpipe hose stretches.

Litres per minute

1,006 litres per minute @ 350 Kpa (hose package works with Ontario Building Code minimum of 450 Kpa)

Reflex time for bigger hose. Worse case scenario.

No reflex time. The hose package is already in play.

NIST and Fire Engineering recommended.

Highly recommended.

Safety

Better protection due to an increased volume of water and less disturbance of the thermal layer.

NFPA 1710-5.2.4.4* High-Rise Initial Full Alarm Assignment Capability.

No other hose package can accomplish this with the Ontario Building Code pressure of 450 KPA
