Sharing observations, suggestions and tactics in HighRise firefighting.
Conferences and Training. Donated time.
As firefighters we all enjoy what we do. I am no different. In volunteering my time I discuss, teach and educate others and myself and in that I find reward.
I am near the end of my career and thus I have a drive to ensure that Highrise Firefighting education carries on. Presently I am succession planning in our Dept to ensure firefighter training doesn't suffer due loss of committee members. Twenty alternate instructors are educating themselves and learning from peer to peer instruction every day.
Presently I am leading the development and search for the best known practices for my Department. If there is any lack of solution, we are finding the answer and adopting them - ensuring they are fluid in scope and ready to be adapted or changed at any given point of discovery.
Every Fire Department has committees who are more than capable of creating a training Cadre, made in their own Department, to carry on tactical development in High Rise firefighting that addresses their need.
My mission is to educate the next generation of firefighters by sharing these best known methods for occupant survival and firefighters safety related to High Rise firefighting.
We learn from the mistakes of others; we may not live long enough to make them all by ourselves.
I help Firefighters, Management, Unions and Health and Safety Departments find the tools needed to set standards of practice and tactical solutions.
I'm available for questions and answers. If I don't know the answer, I have a network of subject matter experts who can help.
